Female birthday card

Now it's time for the female birthday card.  

My card today uses the Blended Bloom stamp, which was originally designed to be coloured with Blendabilities.  I was never really any good at colouring with these, and I'm still working on my skills with blender pens, so I decided to stamp in VersaMark and then heat emboss in white.  I prefer sponging with daubers, so that's how I created a little depth with my image here.  I also pulled out the scoring board to score a few lines in the background and then added Crumb Cake leaves behind the flower.  The "Happy" is from one of my latest purchases, the "Hello You Thinlits, which I bought in the bundle with "Crazy About You" stamp set.  I'm not too sure how much use I'll get from these thinlits (other sentiments include hello, thanks and you), but I guess you find out if you keep looking.  

Saturday card class 2

Following on from Tuesday, the next card made on Saturday uses the Blended Bloom stamp, also given out at Convention to use with our Blendabilities pens. 

Those who attended on Saturday were given a choice of colouring the bloom with Calypso Coral Blendabilities, their own colouring tools or (as I have done - I am still working on my Blendabilities version), stamping the image three times on coloured cardstock and layering the different sizes together.  A little shading has been done around the different layers, and I quite like the way this has turned out,

Did you notice the little pearls on the happy birthday sentiment?  At Convention they showed us how you can colour the pearls with Blendabilities and the colour won't rub off.  And they look beautiful too.  The leaves are also from another new set; Kinda Eclectic, another Convention giveaway. 

Strangely I seem to have misplaced the last card.  Will have to have a good search for it and pop it on later.
